BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – This past Sunday, the heart of Berkeley Heights came alive as the annual Block Party transformed Springfield Avenue into a buzzing festival filled with music, food, fun—and community spirit. With nearly 100 local businesses and organizations participating, the event served as a lively showcase of everything that makes this town unique.
From savory bites at food trucks to refreshing ice cream on a warm afternoon, guests enjoyed a true taste of summer. The ever-popular Delicious Heights beer garden offered a relaxing space for adults, while families found entertainment at every turn—from prize drawings to hands-on activities hosted by the many booths lining the avenue.
As if choreographed by nature itself, the weather was perfect all day—clear skies and warm sunshine set the stage for nonstop festivities. Remarkably, just as the final note rang out from the center stage, courtesy of the beloved band Summers Off [made up of “99%” Berkeley Heights school teachers], a gentle rain began to fall—bringing the day to a close with flawless timing and a touch of summer magic.
