BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — The Berkeley Heights Business and Civic Association (BHBC) kicked off its fall season last Friday with its first gathering since summer break, hosted at the Mount Carmel Society.
A Packed Room of Familiar and New Faces
The meeting opened with the group’s signature round-the-room introductions, drawing together representatives from local banks, financial services, real estate, schools, nonprofits, and small businesses. BHBC co-chair Chris Wang, who also works at Runnymede Financial as an investment advisor as well as Buy Local NJ, welcomed newcomers with the group’s informal “20-second” introduction rule.
New to the group was Diana Price, Berkeley Heights Public Library’s newly hired outreach librarian, just two and a half weeks into the role, who noted the library is currently hiring. Jennifer Nicholson, Berkeley Heights School District business administrator, thanked members for their support of a recent referendum that is funding $50 million in upgrades to the district over the next few years.
