BERKELEY HEIGHTS — The monthly Berkeley Heights Business and Civic (BHB&C) networking breakfast packed the VFW Post 6259 hall Friday morning, drawing local leaders, business owners, and community members for updates on upcoming events, new initiatives, and opportunities to connect and network.
This May gathering held special significance, taking place at the VFW in recognition of Memorial Day. Tables were decorated with red poppies and American flags — symbolic tributes to honor fallen service members — which guests were invited to take home.
Among the morning’s highlights was an update on the highly anticipated Annual Block Party, scheduled for June 8 from noon to 4 p.m. on Springfield Avenue. BHB&C Chairman Chris Wang, alongside event co-chair Paul Neuwirth, encouraged local businesses to participate, emphasizing the event’s importance in bringing the community together and offering valuable local exposure.
