BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Springfield Avenue is getting a takeover — and everyone is invited.
The annual Berkeley Heights Summer Block Party returns Sunday, June 7, from noon to 4 p.m., filling Springfield Avenue with local businesses, community organizations, food vendors, rides, entertainment and plenty of reasons to remember why Berkeley Heights is such a special place to call home.
With nearly 100 vendors and attractions expected, this year’s event is shaping up to be the biggest yet.
“Our team has been hard at work to create the biggest and best Berkeley Heights Block Party yet,” said Chris Wang, chair of the Berkeley Heights Business & Civic Association. “This year, we’re bringing new activities, a wider variety of food and record-breaking participation from our local businesses and civic groups.”
Wang emphasized that the event is a community gift — made possible entirely by local support. “This event is organized and sponsored by our business community as a heartfelt way to give back to the families of Berkeley Heights,” he said. “Because of their incredible generosity, every single activity and ride is free for families to enjoy. There is truly something for everyone in our beautiful downtown, and we invite the entire community to come out and celebrate with us.”
