DESCRIPTION:2026 BH Downtown Summer Block Party\nRegistration is now closed.\n  \n2026 Check in instructions\n \n  \n  \nCalling all residents\, businesses\, clubs\, and non-profit organizations\nNow is the time for your business or organization to start planning for the biggest community event of the summer!  Berkeley Heights Business & Civic is proud to announced the return of the overwhelmingly popular Berkeley Heights Downtown Summer Block Party. \nScheduled for Sunday\, June 7\, 2026 from 12 – 4 pm\, the Downtown Summer Block Party will be held on Springfield Ave.\, from Snyder Ave. to Plainfield Ave. \nOur 2024 Block Party hosted ten to twelve thousand locals and another great crowd is anticipated. Open to the public\, with free rides and activities for kids\, the block party will be a celebration of everything that is Berkeley Heights – businesses\, schools\, restaurants\, youth groups\, clubs\, service organizations\, churches\, sports groups\, township departments\, and first responders. In addition\, this is a fundraiser – profits\, after operating expenses\, will be split between the town’s First Responders. The block party will feature local entertainers\, rides\, games\, food and drink for purchase from local restaurants\, food trucks\, and free activities. \nEach participating organization is asked to provide an activity or giveaway at its booth site. Please NO sales on the street unless you are a food vendor. It’s a block party rather than a street fair – we created this event to be a free family event. Those businesses or organizations that can’t attend in person have the opportunity to sponsor children’s activities. Local entertainers are being sought for the main stage. If you would like to showcase your garage band\, dance group\, martial arts club\, this is your chance to shine. \nSponsorships are available thru April 15th\, and we are currently taking reservations for activity space thru May 19th. The 1.5 Mile Fitness Walk starts at 9:35 am (immediately after the start of the 5K run). Free children’s Fun Runs begin at 10:15 am. DESCRIPTION:2022 Berkeley Heights Restaurant Month\n\n\nBerkeley Heights Restaurant Month returns for its sixth year on Sept. 1 and Berkeley Heights Business & Civic members are being asked to step up to the plate! \nDuring last year’s event\, nearly two dozen local restaurants offered prix-fixe menus and exclusive deals as part of the month-long culinary experience. This year\, a team of Restaurant Month volunteers will surprise random customers of participating establishments with $25 gift cards – delighting customers and providing social media moments that will be posted on Instagram and Facebook. The hope is to build some excitement – and income – for local eateries. \nBHB&C members are being asked to contribute to a fund that will buy these gift cards from participating establishments. All contributions – $50\, $100 or $200 – are welcome. \nIt’s a delicious opportunity to support our beloved local restaurants which have faced immense challenges these past 2 ½ years. Restaurant Month will list all contributors on the Restaurant Month Website. DESCRIPTION:Calling all residents\, businesses\, clubs\, and non-profit organizations\nNow is the time for your business or organization to start planning for the biggest event of the summer! After a two-year pandemic hiatus\, Berkeley Heights Business & Civic has announced the return of the overwhelming popular Berkeley Heights Downtown Summer Block Party! Scheduled for Sunday\, June 5\, 2022 – earlier in the year to allow more participation before the summer recess – from 1:00-4:00 pm\, (a shorter time frame to assist church traffic on Sunday)\, the Downtown Summer Block Party will be held on Springfield Ave.\, from Snyder Ave. to Plainfield Ave. The timing of the event has also been arranged to allow residents to visit downtown restaurants before\, during or after the event. Open to the public\, with free rides and activities for kids\, the Block Party will be a celebration of everything that is Berkeley Heights – Businesses\, schools – public and private – restaurants\, youth groups\, clubs\, service organizations\, churches\, sports groups\, township departments and first responders. Less a fundraiser (any profits\, after expenses\, will be split between the town’s First Responders)\, the Block Party will feature local entertainers\, rides\, games\, food trucks and activities. Each organization will be asked to provide an activity or give-away at their booth site. Those businesses or organizations that can’t attend in person have the opportunity to sponsor children’s activities. Local entertainers are being sought for the main stage\, sponsored by Union County Freeholders. If you would like to showcase your garage band\, dance group\, martial arts club\, this is your chance to shine. Sponsorships are now available\, and we are currently taking reservations for activity space. Do you have an activity that will spotlight your business or organization? It’s a great time to promote your organization – all local service clubs and non-profits will be on the street. Have a local restaurant? Be known! Companies that sponsor a ride or activity will be promoted on the ride and on all press releases. Join local businesses: The Liberty Group\, Delicious Heights\, Tapinto\, Massage Envy\, Smith Chiropractic and Taylor Rental Center as sponsors for this year’s festivities. Berkeley Heights Business & Civic is an organization made up of local retail\, service and professional businesses who are working hand in hand with local government for the benefit of all residents of Berkeley Heights.
