Calling all residents, businesses, clubs, and non-profit organizations

Now is the time for your business or organization to start planning for the biggest community event of the summer!  Berkeley Heights Business & Civic is proud to announced the return of the overwhelmingly popular Berkeley Heights Downtown Summer Block Party.

Scheduled for Sunday, June 8, 2024 from 12 – 4 pm, the Downtown Summer Block Party will be held on Springfield Ave., from Snyder Ave. to Plainfield Ave.

Our 2024 Block Party hosted ten to twelve thousand locals and another great crowd is anticipated. Open to the public, with free rides and activities for kids, the block party will be a celebration of everything that is Berkeley Heights – businesses, schools, restaurants, youth groups, clubs, service organizations, churches, sports groups, township departments, and first responders. In addition, this is a fundraiser – profits, after operating expenses, will be split between the town’s First Responders. The block party will feature local entertainers, rides, games, food and drink for purchase from local restaurants, food trucks, and free activities.

Each participating organization is asked to provide an activity or giveaway at its booth site. Please NO sales on the street unless you are a food vendor. It’s a block party rather than a street fair – we created this event to be a free family event. Those businesses or organizations that can’t attend in person have the opportunity to sponsor children’s activities. Local entertainers are being sought for the main stage. If you would like to showcase your garage band, dance group, martial arts club, this is your chance to shine.

Sponsorships are available thru May 1st, and we are currently taking reservations for activity space thru May 19th. Do you have an activity that will spotlight your business or organization?  It’s a great time to promote your organization – all local service clubs and non-profits will be on the street. Have a local restaurant? Be known! Companies that sponsor a ride or activity will be promoted on the ride and on all press releases.

Berkeley Heights Business & Civic is an organization made up of local retail, service, and professional businesses that are working hand in hand with local government for the benefit of all residents of Berkeley Heights. Networking, education, and promoting the Berkeley Heights business community are organization objectives.
